This movie is a true life story wherein Justice K Chandru got justice for an Irular tribal family in the year 1993 in Cuddalore district. Our salutation to him.
Inspite of adverse poverty the Irular tribals are a happy close knit community. Their hunting skills and knowledge of medicinal herbs will rouse your interest and admiration. Rajakannu(K.Manikandan)
and Sengeni(Lijomol Rose)are a happy and loving couple with a daughter and another baby on the way. Rajakannu is wrongly acquitted in a theft case ,arrested and then goes missing from police custody.
The atrocities meted out to Rajakannu,Irutappan,Mosakutty and Pachaiammal in the lock up will make you cringe with shame and disgust.I had to pause the movie a few times to deal with my copious tears. But through it all, their sheer courage and determination will reach you, touch you and boost you up manifold.
Thanks to the entire team for making this thought provoking movie. The social divide has reduced but needs to be sealed. Let us work towards it.
