Set in the Nazi extermination camp, two eight year old boys befriend each other from opposite sides of the barbed wire fence. One is Shmuel, a Jewish prisoner and the other is Bruno, The son of the camp’s Nazi commander. What becomes of their beautiful friendship forms the rest of the story.
